STATEPARK STABLES is the thoroughbred breeding and horse racing\nbranch of STATEPARK Ltd UK. The move to Greece in 2002 found the\ncompany with breeding and racing interests in the UK, Germany, Italy and\nGreece with Cyprus soon to follow in 2004.<\/p>\n
STATEPARK built and ran the first and only stallion station in Greece having\npurchased and stood stallions of a high caliber for the region. Namely\nHAMAS (DANZIG \u2013 July Cup Gr1), PRENUP (SMARTEN \u2013 Jerome H. USA\nGr1), LUGANA BEACH (TUMBLE WIND \u2013 multiple Gr3, 2 nd Prix de L'Abbaye\nGr1), CHROMITE (MR. PROSPECTOR - Full-brother to leading sire\nWOODMAN), LUJAIN (SEEKING THE GOLD - Middle Park S. Gr1), WAR\nDEPUTY (DEPUTY MINISTER \u2013 Kentucky JC S. Gr3 and a leading sire in\nCanada), MISSED FLIGHT (DOMINION - Prix du Rond-Point FR Gr2 and\nmultiple Gr1 placed) and local champion PAOK (CELTIC SWING) among\nothers.<\/p>\n
TALAASH (DARSHAAN \u2013 FR Gr3 winner and a $700k yearling) and\nTAKHLID (NUREYEV \u2013 winner of 20 races in the UK and a $750k yearling)\nboth stood in Bulgaria and Cyprus for STATEPARK.<\/p>\n
STATEPARK STABLES operated the farm at Kastro for just a few years\nhaving produced a small number of homebreds who nevertheless exceeded\nexpectations. ELLISPONDOS (LAKE CONISTON), the first ever foal to be\nborn on the farm, was a multiple local stakes winner and 3 rd in his Derby,<\/p>\n
ELVEN KING (MUJADIL) won the Cyprus 2000 Guinness in a record time,\nDANTE AMARAL (CHROMITE) was the hot favorite in his Derby only to\nbreak down in the race. He was later to make his reappearance after a 2 year\nlayoff winning 6 races on the trot. Notable successes came from the Elia Stud\nteam whose breeding program was managed solely by STATEPARK, with\nnumerous local classic and stakes wins with homebreds by LUJAIN and WAR\nDEPUTY. LENON (WAR DEPUTY) a local 2000 Guinness winner still resides at\nthe farm.<\/p>\n
WINDSTRIKE (DIKTAT) represented and was a winner for STATEPARK in\nGermany, Italy and Cyprus having started her career in Athens. She was\nnotably placed 4 th in a Lister Race in San Siro on turf. STATEPARK enjoyed\nmore European success both at the track and at the sales ring with\nsyndicated MISS ASSERTIVE (ZAFONIC) who placed 3 rd twice in Listed\nRaces in Newmarket, trained by Nick Littmoden, and she was later sold for 6\nfigures as a broodmare prospect. HUNTER STREET (COMPTON PLACE), also\nsyndicated by Blandford Bloodstock, was 2 nd at the Flying Childers St. Gr2 at\nDoncaster before winning the Cornwallis St. Gr3 at Salisbury and he was also\nlater sold for a 6 figure sum to continue his career in Italy.<\/p>\n
